College signs joint letter with GOC to encourage vaccine uptake

In the letter, we highlight the importance of vaccination against transmissible diseases, and the responsibilities our professionals have.

The College, along with government and professional representative bodies, have co-signed a letter with the GOC highlighting the importance of vaccination against transmissible diseases, and the personal and professional responsibilities that healthcare professionals have.

The letter, which has been sent by the GOC to all fully qualified and business registrants, strongly recommends that colleagues in patient-facing roles should be vaccinated in line with each nation’s public health advice. The College has published an article with links to a range of videos and materials to support optometrists in their vaccine decisions.
